Head-on collision results in fatality

By Christian Peterson, Riverbend News A head-on collision took place on County Road 18 near County Road 131, in Columbia County, on Tuesday, Oct. 19, at approximately 7:04 a.m. According to the Florida Highway Patrol report, a 26-year-old man from O'Brien, later identified as Devin Walker, was traveling east on Southwest County Road 18 in a pickup truck towing a trailer. Simultaneously, a 37-year-old woman from Bell, later identified as Crystal Bass, was traveling west on Southwest County Road 18 in a sport utility vehicle.
