With 11 participants and 15 total entries, the Woman’s Club of Jasper held its annual Chili-Soup Cook Off on Saturday, Jan.18, serving a building of eager supporters who sampled a variety of great chilies and soups.
First place went to the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, represented by Sheriff Brian Creech and Investigator Jay Golub. Second place went to Phillip Cowart with his “So Easy Even a Caveman Can Do It” chili.
First place in the soup award went to Tiffanie Shakespeare and her dad, Anthony Williams. Second place went to Sierra Bozeman of Bozeman Tractor.
The Woman’s Club of Jasper appreciates each participant who donated their time, money, work and cooking talents to make its 2025 Chili-Soup Cook Off such a successful event.
The members of the Woman’s Club of Jasper also held a Sweets and Desserts Sale during the cook off, with homemade goodies of cakes, pies, cupcakes, cookies, bars and brownies available.
The Woman’s Club of Jasper would like to thank all who came out and supported its 2025 Chili-Soup Cook Off and Sweets and Desserts Sale.
Special thanks to judges Jan Hunter, Tim Ingram and Donna Tuten. Proceeds help fund the club’s educational and civic-community projects.
