HCHS Beta Club competes at state conference

The Hamilton County High School (HCHS) Senior Beta Club earned high marks at the Beta Club state conference, which was held at the Signia by Hilton at Bonnett Creek in Orlando. The competition was held over two days, Friday, Jan. 9, and Saturday, Jan. 10, and featured multiple schools from across the state.
Among the students who attended, Fernanda Gomez won first place in the 10th grade Spanish division, while Zoe Carlisle won first place in the Division 1 jewelry competition.
Other awards HCHS Beta Club members earned at the conference included:
Kaylyn Murphy - second place, 10th grade spelling
Gavin Combass - third plac
