Hamilton Elementary rolls through open house

By Mickey Starling Riverbend News  On Wednesday, Aug. 5, parents and students from Hamilton Elementary School enjoyed a new experience for their open house. Instead of roaming the halls and snacking on finger foods while meeting teachers and staff, they met with teachers and picked up information and laptops in drive-thru fashion. Pre-K through second grade teachers met parents in their vehicles from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., while third through sixth grade teachers met parents from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Students planning to take the innovative learning path also picked up laptops for home viewing of live-streamed classrooms.
