Hamilton County Schools reflect on improved grades

Rick Patrick Riverbend News During the regular meeting of the Hamilton County District School Board on Tuesday, July 14, the board heard from administrators of both Hamilton County Elementary School (HCES) and Hamilton County High School (HCHS). Kathy Griffin, principal of HCES, presented data that led to the school receiving a “B” grade in the most recent school assessment from the Florida Department of Education (FDOE). HCES scored a total of 454 points, or 56.8% of the points available, leading to the school’s “B” grade.
