Hamilton County School District announces Spelling Bee winners

Jason Futch Reporter2@riverbendnews.org The Hamilton County School District announced the winners of the 2025–26 School District Spelling Bee on Friday, Jan. 23. Participants included Timothy Fason, Jonas Houston, Angelica Martinez-Lopez, Matthew Trimble and Aubrey Whiddon. Martinez-Lopez earned first place in the competition, followed by Fason in second and Trimble in third. The district extended its thanks to Orlando Spikes, who served as the event’s pronouncer, as well as judges Phillis Johnson and Amy Hendry. Appreciation was also expressed to the Hamilton County High School (HCHS) yearbook staff, culinary students, Katey Godwin, Chris Jones, Travis Simmons, Brianne Deas and HCHS
