Hamilton County Emergency Management hosts hurricane preparedness event

Jason Futch  reporter2.riverbendnews@gmail.com The Hamilton County Emergency Operations Center hosted a hurricane preparedness event at the Ernest Courtoy Civic Center in Jasper on Friday, June 13. The event, held in conjunction with the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office, provided county residents with information and resources on what to do before, during and after a hurricane.  "We are gearing up for the storms that might come up," said Emergency Management Director Emily Lumpkin.
