Hamilton County commissioners deny road closure

Jason Futch reporter2@riverbendnews.org A group of Jasper residents came together during the Hamilton County Board of County Commissioners' regular meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 2, to oppose a proposed road closure. The proposal would have affected the north and south sections of Southwest 34th Loop, just off Northwest 86th Boulevard. The road closure was requested by Anthony Boggess of Alachua, Fla. In his application, Boggess claimed the road ran through his family’s property, and wished to make it a private access road. Boggess was not present during the hearing.
