The 4-H Public Speaking Contest, powered by Florida Power and Light (FPL), was held at the Hamilton County High School auditorium in February. Twelve students from fourth, fifth and sixth grades presented speeches on topics that included volleyball, drag racing, human rights, the cattle industry in Florida, sharks and the heart. Students from the Hamilton County Elementary School, Hamilton County High School and Corinth Christian Academy competed for plaques for first, second and third place.
