The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) hunter safety program will be offered to youth ages 10 to 18 in a traditional course format from Wednesday, July 29, through Saturday, Aug. 1. All instruction will take place on-site at the Hamilton County Extension Office, located at 1143 N.W. U.S. 41, in Jasper, with the field day event held at a nearby shooting range. Youth will receive their Florida Hunter Safety Certification card after successfully attending all three days of instruction, completing a written exam, and demonstrating safe firearm handling during a supervised live-fire range field day.
