Greater Poplar Springs Missionary Baptist Church welcomes new pastor after 37-plus years

Marilyn Jackson Contributor On Sunday, June 28, Greater Poplar Springs Missionary Baptist Church held installation services celebrating its new pastor, Rev. Travis L. George Sr., his wife, Sis. Robin George, and their children. Pastor George hails from Lake City, Fla., where he was raised in the church and under the unprecedented tutelage of his pastor and uncle. Even more unprecedented was the presence of the former pastor of Greater Poplar Springs Missionary Baptist Church in support of the congregation’s choice.
