As the family of 7-year-old Evangeline McKenna continues to hold on to hope for a miracle, the community is once again coming together to help support her fight against rhabdomyosarcoma (RMS). The Dance Shop, in partnership with the Live Oak Police Department, is hosting a basket raffle and chicken dinner, which will raise funds for McKenna’s medical, travel and financial expenses. The chicken dinner will be held at The Dance Shop on Friday, Feb. 21, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tickets will be sold in advance at The Dance Shop and the Live Oak Police Department. The tickets for the dinner will be $10 each, while raffle tickets will be sold at $5 each. Anyone wishing to donate towards the raffle can also drop items off at either location. For the raffle, the following baskets are being requested to be raffled off: picnic baskets, baking baskets, girls' and boys' toy/play baskets, family movie night baskets, spa baskets, tool baskets, date night baskets, game baskets, grill baskets and gardening baskets. For more information, contact The Dance Shop at (386) 362-1906 or the Live Oak Police Department at (386) 362-7463. To purchase tickets or make a donation through CashApp, send them to $tds339.
