From ideas to action: Branford students shine at inaugural Civics Fair

Branford High School (BHS) students stepped into the role of problem-solvers during the school’s inaugural Civics Fair on Thursday, April 23. Throughout the day, students presented ideas for improving their community while connecting said ideas to government principles.
According to Andrea Longstreet, world and U.S. history teacher at BHS, the event was made possible through a $6,500 grant from the Bill of Rights Institute (BRI) as part of its MyImpact Challenge. The challenge encourages students to identify real- world issues and develop solutions backed up by their civic knowledge.
