Friends of Music concerts resume with The Lawson Trio

Bill and Linda Poplin Contributor In 1996, Bill Poplin started a concert series in Lake City at First Presbyterian Church, where he served as Director of Music Ministries. He contacted Raymond Weiss Artist Management. Weiss had provided events while Poplin was teaching at Florida Gateway College (then Lake City Community College). Weiss would travel to Europe to find performing groups and then arrange for them to tour in America. The series was fortunate to host performers from France, the Czech Republic, Austria, England and the United States.
