Mammograms have saved countless lives - a real-life medical marvel. However, access to these lifesaving measures can sometimes feel limited by cost or time constraints.
There are organizations working to remove those barriers and help those in need. One of those groups is Mammolink.
On Friday, May 15, the free mobile mammography bus will be at the Live Oak Public Library. The service features 10-minute appointments with same-day results. All imaging is read by a fellowship-trained breast imaging radiologist.
The bus will be available from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Appointments are required, and applications are available at the library. Individ
