Free fiber optics boot camp happening soon

Danny Federico editor@riverbendnews.org Individuals looking to enter a high- demand field will have the chance to gain hands-on training through a free fiber optics boot camp. The one-week program will take place from Monday, May 18, through Friday, May 22, at the College of Central Florida Jack Wilkinson Levy Campus, located at 15390 U.S. 19, just north of Chiefland. The boot camp is part of the Creating Connections program, which is designed to help fill broadband positions across three rural CareerSource regions, including North Central Florida.
