Foodway theft results in arrests of three former employees

The Jasper Foodway was recently victim to a theft ring allegedly led by three former employees of the store.
According to the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) arrest report, 55 year old Tammy Weeks Wilkes, 56 year old Tina Cooper Thornton, and 46 year old Crystal Gail Blevins were arrested and charged with retail theft of more than $750 but less than $5,000. The arrests stemmed from an allegation that the three were conspiring to steal merchandise from the store, resulting in a total reported loss of $1,515.61.
Additional individuals were also identified as partaking in the theft, and more arrests may be forthcoming.
