Five-year-old critically injured in hit and run, FHP seeks public’s help

Danny Federico [email protected] Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) is asking for the public's assistance in the location of a suspect involved in the hit and run that left a five-year-old boy in critical condition. On Monday, April 4, at approximately 7 p.m., FHP responded to a vehicle vs. bicycle accident at the intersection of County Road 143 and Mary Street, in Jennings. The accident involved a 2011-2014 Ford Edge of an unknown color that collided with a five-year-old boy riding a bike. The five-year-old was transported to Shands Hospital in Gainesville in critical condition. The suspect's vehicle fled the scene. FHP states the vehicle should have sustained damage to the
