Fire consumes abandoned home in Live Oak

Jason Futch Reporter2.riverbendnews@gmail.com On the evening of Thursday, Oct. 16, at approximately 10:18 p.m., the Live Oak Fire Department (LOFD) and Suwannee County Fire Rescue Station 11 responded to a structural fire at 102 Green Ave., in Live Oak.  Upon arrival, an approximately 1,000 square foot abandoned residential home was found fully engulfed in flames, and fire crews began containing the fire. By 10:43 p.m., the fire was brought under control.  According to the LOFD, there were no injuries to civilians or fire personnel. The scene was turned over to the State Bureau of Fire, Arson and Explosives Investigations.
