The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) is seeking information regarding a hit-and-run incident that left a 52-year-old Jasper woman deceased on Saturday, April 19.
At approximately 8:44 p.m., the victim was traveling westbound on State Road 143 on her minibike when a passenger side mirror allegedly struck her from an unknown silver midsize SUV that was also traveling westbound. Upon striking the victim, the vehicle fled the scene, failing to notify law enforcement.
The victim was life-flighted to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital, where she was pronounced deceased on Wednesday, April 23.
During the investigation, troopers located a mirror at the scene of the crash, which revealed a 2014 to 2018 silver Nissan Rogue or midsize SUV.
