During the regular meeting of the Hamilton County District School Board on Tuesday, May 12, Peggy Hasty, Coordinator of Federal Programs for the school district, gave a presentation on the use of federal programs and resources and their impact on student performance.
One significant piece of information is the increase in graduation rates, which went from 84% in the 2020-21 school year to 91% in the 2024-25 school year. Hasty said she felt that a major contributor to this is the use of federal resources to fund a Title I personalized graduation coach at Hamilton County High School, who provides “individualized academic monitoring for juniors and seniors.”
