Extension offices to host homesteading classes

The UF/IFAS Extension Office in Suwannee County will be hosting multiple classes in the next two months to help people reconnect with their roots. The four-week program is titled "Hands-on Homesteading: Back to the Basics." Attendees will learn how to become more proficient in the garden and the kitchen. Additionally, each week, attendees will take home a product of their own creation.
The first class will take place on Friday, Aug. 22, at the Suwannee County Extension Office. The class will focus on growing a healthy veggie garden and making jam. The next event will be held on Friday, Aug. 29, at the Taylor County Extension Offi
