Erosion repairs at Alapaha Commerce Center addressed by Hamilton Commissioners

During the regular meeting of the Hamilton County Board of County Commissioners on Tuesday, July 21, the commissioners discussed soil erosion occurring at the Alapaha Commerce Center.
The county had received bids from three companies to repair the erosion. The lowest bid of $86,250 was determined not to be in compliance with bid requirements. The next lowest bid amount of $138,607 was submitted by John C. Hipp Construction Equipment Co.
At the advice of Attorney Andrew Decker, Hipp Construction was awarded the job.
