Enjoy a movie under the stars

By Starr Munro Riverbend News Residents of Lafayette and nearby counties have a great treat coming soon at 7:30 p.m on Friday, Oct. 23, in Veterans Memorial Park. A “Movie in the Park” night has graciously been organized by The Journey Church, located on Main St., in Mayo. The event is free of charge, as are the drinks and popcorn that will be provided to the audience in attendance that night. This is the first event of its kind that The Journey Church has put together and they plan on having more available for the community to enjoy in the future. A different kind of congregation than the church may be accustomed to having; this one is encouraged to spend an evening at the pict
