Emerald Greene named Newsperson of the Year

Shelby Martin, Florida Farm Bureau Contributor Emerald Greene, owner of Greene Publishing, Inc., has been named the 2025 Florida Farm Bureau Newsperson of the Year. This announcement was made at the organization’s state annual meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 28, at the Hilton Daytona Beach Oceanfront Resort. A Madison County native, Greene owns the Madison County Carrier, Monticello News, and Riverbend News, serving readers across Hamilton, Jefferson, Lafayette, Madison and Suwannee Counties.
