Ellianos Coffee in Live Oak is asking the community to rally behind a local child battling cancer through a special fundraising campaign called “Evangeline’s Fight.”
The campaign invites customers to round up their purchase totals at the register, with all donations supporting Evangeline McKenna and her family as she continues treatment for childhood cancer.
The fundraiser began Wednesday, March 11, and will continue until Thursday, April 9. All donations collected will be matched by Ellianos Live Oak, doubling the impact of each contribution.
Funds raised will help McKenna’s family cover expenses related to her treatment, including travel as they make repeated trips for care. The family is expected to travel back and forth for the next 100 days while staying at the Ronald McDonald House.
“No family in our community should have to fight this battle alone,” Ellianos Coffee said in its social media post.
Customers who wish to contribute can simply ask their barista to round up their order total when visiting Live Oak’s Ellianos locations during the campaign period.
