Early voting begins Aug. 8 for 2026 Primary Election

Early voting for the 2026 Primary Election will begin on Saturday, Aug. 8, for residents of Hamilton, Lafayette and Suwannee counties. 

Voters will have through Saturday, Aug. 15, to cast their ballots ahead of Election Day on Tuesday, Aug. 18. Voting hours and locations vary by county. 

In Hamilton County, early voting will take place from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Hamilton County Supervisor of Elections Office, located at 1153 U.S. 41 N.W., Suite 1, in Jasper. 

Lafayette County voters can cast their ballots between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. at the Mayo Community Center, located at 150 S.W. Community Cir., in Mayo. 

In Suwannee County, early voting will be available from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Voting locations include the Jo Kennon Public Library, located at 10655 Dowling Park Dr., in Dowling Park; the Suwannee County Judicial Annex, located at 218 Parshley St., in Live Oak; and the Robert Leonard Public Library, located at 703 N.W. Suwannee Ave., in Branford. 

All voters are required to present a current, valid photo and signature identification when voting in person. Acceptable forms of ID include: 

• Florida driver license 

• United States passport 

• Debit or credit card

• Military identification 

• Student identification

• Retirement center identification

• Neighborhood association identification

• Public assistance identification

• Veteran health identification card issued by the United States Department of Veterans Affairs

• License to carry a concealed weapon for firearm issued pursuant to s. 790.06, F.S.

• Florida identification card issued by the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles 

• Employee identification card issued by any branch, department, agency or entity of the Federal Government, the state, a county or a municipality 

Election Day is Tuesday, Aug. 18. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. For more information about voting, visit your local Supervisor of Elections website:
