Donna Marie Frank, 78, of Mayo, Fla., passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, March 13, 2022, following an extended illness. Frank was born on May 31, 1943, in Silver Spring, Md., to John Robert Lodge and Eleanor Yonker Dempsey. Following high school, she met and married Johnny Frank on Oct. 14, 1958. They moved to Mayo in 1984, where they worked and raised their family. Frank was a homemaker and also worked with a number of companies such as Goldkist, Coca-Cola, and Gulf Petroleum. She and her husband drove a long-haul semi together for 10 years before finally owning and operating hydroponic greenhouses until she retired. In her spare time, she enjoyed creating oil and acrylic paintings, sewing, quilting, working in her yard and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Johnny Frank in 2020 and a son, Johnny Robert Frank.
Frank is survived by a son, Kenneth Frank, of Winter Haven, Fla.; two daughters, Rebecca Ann Sapp and her husband Everett, of Day, Fla. and Bonny Yates, of Mayo; a daughter-in-law, Susie Roberson, of Mayo; three grandchildren, John, Cody and Michelle, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Cremation arrangements are under the care of Burns Funeral Home of Mayo.
