It seems that cancer diagnoses are all too common these days. However, what many do not know is not all cancers are the same. Some are benign, while others are life-threatening, and some are incredibly rare. PMP, or Pseudomyxoma Peritonei, is one such cancer. It's so rare that its nickname is "one in a million." According to cancer.org, "PMP is a rare tumor that grows slowly and causes a build-up of mucin (a jelly-like substance) in the abdomen and pelvis, giving rise to the name 'jelly belly.'"
