DOH- Hamilton issues rabies alert

The Florida Department of Health in Hamilton County (DOH-Hamilton) is issuing a rabies alert in Hamilton County in response to a confirmed case of rabies in an unvaccinated pet cat that died suddenly in an area north of Jennings off Northwest 27th Boulevard on Wednesday, May 6. DOH- Hamilton is monitoring rabies among wild animals in the area. All residents and visitors should be aware that rabies is currently present in the wild animal population.
