Every second counts during a cardiac emergency, and knowing how to perform CPR can mean the difference between life and death. Cardiopulmonary resuscitation, better known as CPR, is an emergency lifesaving technique used when a person’s heart stops beating. By keeping blood flowing to the brain and other vital organs until professional help arrives, CPR gives victims a greater chance of survival.
