The Live Oak community is once again demonstrating the power of neighbors helping neighbors as local organizations and residents come together to support Cassady Feagle and her family following a life-changing automobile accident.
Feagle was seriously injured in a horrific crash on June 16, leaving her with a long and challenging road to recovery. As she continues to face medical treatments, rehabilitation and major life adjustments, family, friends and the community are stepping up to offer encouragement and financial support.
Many in the area know Feagle’s father, Donnie Feagle, for his willingness to lend a helping hand whenever someone was in need. Now, those same friends and neighbors are returning that kindness by rallying around the Feagle family during this difficult time.
To help ease some of the financial burden, the Live Oak Elks Lodge No. 1165 will host a
Steak Dinner Fundraiser on Saturday, Aug 15, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., or until food sells out. Organizers say 100% of the proceeds from the dinner will go directly to Feagle and her family to help cover expenses as she continues her recovery.
Guests will enjoy the lodge’s regular steak dinner menu, featuring a ribeye steak, baked potato, green beans, salad bar, a dinner roll and dessert, all while supporting a worthy cause. The fundraiser has also received support from the Suwannee River Breast Cancer Awareness Association, which is encouraging the community to attend, donate and keep Feagle and her family in their prayers.
The Live Oak Elks Lodge is located at 415 Howard St. E., in Live Oak.
