Community joins Vivid Visions to raise awareness of domestic violence

The community came together at Heritage Park & Gardens on Thursday, Oct. 16, for a candlelight dinner put together by Vivid Visions, Inc., a nonprofit organization providing a temporary, safe place for survivors of domestic violence.
The purpose of the event was to honor and remember the victims of domestic violence whose lives were lost, those whose lives have been forever changed by domestic violence, and those who survived and light the way for others to do the same.
According to Executive Director Carol Johnson, the vigil is held annually in October during Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
