Day Town recently celebrated the grand opening of its new community Center while holding a Community Health and Wellness Event. During the event, vendors from various organizations came out to show support for the community center’s grand opening. Vendors ranged from community resource groups such as Another Way, Inc. and Catholic Charities, while Second Harvest promoted healthy eating and passed out vegetables. Outside, there were other vendors on the grounds as local children were playing. Too Cheezzzy Pizza sold meals to those who attended the event. The LifeSouth Bloodmobile was also present. Those who donated blood were given a LifeSouth umbrella. The Day Community Center was inaugurated early during the event with a ribbon cutting, which the Lafayette County Chamber of Commerce hosted. Catholic Charities, Hope Florida, Disability Rights Florida, Florida Department of Health, Meridian Health and Florida Gateway Food Bank sponsored the Community Health and Wellness Event.
