Christmas lights in Mayo to bring joy for all

By Starr Munro Riverbend News Citizens of Mayo have the chance to share the holiday spirit with the residents of Lafayette Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, beginning next weekend. A Christmas light display will be open to the public on Saturday, Dec. 19, from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. This is a one night only event with free hot chocolate and opportunities to meet both Santa Clause and the Grinch. Many senior citizens and those who need to be in assisted living facilities with caretakers will be much more isolated this Christmas due to social distancing.
