Century Pioneer Family Farms Program honors Florida’s multi-generational farms

The Century Pioneer Family Farm Program, initiated in 1985 by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, honors families who have maintained continuous family farm ownership for at least 100 years. The program acknowledges the benefit that family farms and ranches provide to the state of Florida. It recognizes these pioneers as the original stewards of the land for preserving environmental resources and fostering the state’s agricultural industry, which provides an important economic base for Florida.
