James H. Cagle Guest Columnist “For whatsoever is born of God (born-again) overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith” (1 John 5:4 KJV). A person joins the winning side and gets victory over death, Hell, and the grave when they put their faith in Jesus Christ, who won the victory for us and gives that victory to us (1 Corinthians 15:57). A Christian is a victor only through Jesus Christ. The Christian will be constantly tempted by the pleasure of the flesh, the things of the world and the lies of Satan to depart from the path of obedience and victory.
