"He (Jesus) is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead" (Matthew 28:6, 7 KJV).
The church has been celebrating Easter on the first day of the week for many years. And there's nothing that can be said this coming Easter that hasn't already been said. And yet Christ's resurrection from the dead is the continuous message of the church, for His resurrection is our message of hope, and by it, we have salvation.
The foundation of Christianity rests on the fact of the Resurrection of Jesus. "If Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins" (1 Corinthians 15:17).
