Burn bans lifted in Suwannee, Hamilton and Lafayette

Hailey Waldo Riverbend News Recent rainfall across North Florida has led officials to lift burn bans in Suwannee, Hamilton and Lafayette Counties. According to reports from local county commissioners, the burn ban in Suwannee County was lifted after several days of rainfall improved conditions throughout the area. Residents are still encouraged to follow all Florida Forest Service guidelines when conducting outdoor burns. Hamilton County officials have also lifted their countywide burn ban following recent weather improvements after previously issuing restrictions because of high fire danger and drought concerns.
