Bulldogs claim weightlifting district champions title

Danny Federico reporter3.riverbendnews@gmail.com The Suwannee High School girls' weightlifting team played host to the Class 1A Region 1 District 4 Weightlifting Championship tournament on Friday, Jan. 26. Being one of the most dynamic teams in the area, the Bulldogs were poised for a dominant showing. As the final points were tallied, there was no doubt why the Suwannee girls hold the number of records they do, coming out on top as Champions in both the district and Olympic events. As a team, the Bulldogs recorded 106 points in the traditional event and 101 in the Olympic event, almost doubling the scores of the second highest scoring team, Maclay. As the only competitor in the 101 pound
