Buchanan honored for 55 years of service at Mayo Masonic Lodge

Jason Futch Reporter2@riverbendnews.org Marvin Buchanan received special recognition for 55 years of dedicated service to Mayo Masonic Lodge No. 119 at a celebration held on Tuesday, Feb. 17.  Before his fellow lodge brothers and family, Buchanan was honored for his faithful service to the lodge by District Deputy Grand Master William Williams and Worshipful Master Stanley Swam.  Buchanan said the honor was something he was proud of, emphasizing the contributions the lodge has made to the community since he became a Mason years ago.  “I’m really proud to be a part of this outstanding masonic fraternity,” Buchanan said  He talked about the opening of each meeting with
