Buccaneers show they can perform at weightlifting regionals

Christian Peterson  [email protected]   On Saturday, Feb. 1, the Branford High School girls weightlifting team made their way to Chiefland High School for the Class 1A Region 2 Regional Championship. In the 101 pound weight class of the traditional competition, Lily Moore placed fourth with a max lift of 195 pounds. Right behind her was Mira Root in seventh place with a max lift of 155 pounds. The competition was furthered in the 110 pound weight class, where Bella Hobday placed fifth with a max lift of 210 pounds.
