Buccaneers defeat Hornets in four-set volleyball showdown

Danny Federico reporter3.riverbendnews@gmail.co The Branford High School Buccaneers claimed a 3-1 victory over the Lafayette Hornets in a hard-hitting varsity volleyball match on Friday, Oct. 4. The match began with a closely contested first set, with the Hornets edging out the Buccaneers 25-22. However, the Buccaneers regrouped and took control in the following sets, winning the second set 25-17. They maintained their momentum into the third set, securing another 25-17 win. In the fourth set, the Buccaneers sealed their victory with a 25-19 win, wrapping up the match 3-1.
