Bringing home the bacon: Suwannee 4-H Livestock Judging Team advances to nationals

The Suwannee County 4-H Livestock Judging Team is officially headed to nationals after winning the state championship at the Florida State 4-H Livestock Contest on Saturday, April 11, at the University of Florida Horse Teaching Unit, in Gainesville.
Competing against eight teams from across the state, the Suwannee County team edged out Lake Osceola County by 11 points with an overall score of 1,706 to earn the title of State Champions.
Team members included ninth-grader Levi Starling, 10th-grader Wyatt Watson, 10th-grader Peyton McCook and 12th-grader Gracie Swindell. The team is coached by 4-H agent Erin Dasher.
