Breaking ground: Watson Healthcare begins construction on new facility

Jason Futch reporter2@riverbendnews.org Community leaders came together in Jasper on Wednesday, Jan. 14, to watch Dr. James and Jennifer Watson finally break ground on a new facility that has been years in the making. “This is a wonderful day for me and Jennifer,” Dr. Watson said during the ceremony. “But first and foremost, we got to thank God and Jesus Christ, my Lord and savior.” According to Jennifer, the project was planned over two years, and she hopes everything will be completed by the end of the year, barring any weather complications. “We are so excited for what this is going to bring to Jasper,” she said.
