Branford Volunteer Fire Department raises over $1,000 with spaghetti fundraiser

Danny Federico reporter3.riverbendnews@gmail.com The Branford Volunteer Fire Department (BVFD) served up more than just plates of pasta during its spaghetti dinner fundraiser on Friday, Sept. 19. Thanks to generous community support, the event raised just over $1,000 and helped serve approximately 80 dinners. The funds raised will contribute toward the department's ongoing effort to enhance its training capabilities. Specifically, the department is working toward the purchase of a forced entry training door, as well as materials to build a snaggle box, training windows, and hollow floors for hands-on practice.
