Branford Town Council approves millage rate and budget for fiscal year 2024-2025

The hearing, which opened at 6 p.m., began with Council President Jay Hatch announcing that the proposed millage rate of 7.500 mills is 2.65 percent above the rolled-back rate of 7.3065. The increase in the millage rate is intended to fund the necessary increase in town operations for the 2024-25 fiscal year.
