Volleyball season is just around the corner, and Branford High School (BHS) is preparing to welcome athletes back to the court for tryouts on Monday, July 27, at the BHS Gym.
Students interested in joining the program should note that tryout times have recently changed. Middle school tryouts will be held from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m., followed by junior varsity from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and varsity from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
School officials remind all athletes that participation requirements must be completed before stepping onto the court. Every player must have both a current sports physical and an electrocardiogram (EKG) on file with Branford High School before tryouts begin. Students who have not submitted both documents will not be permitted to participate.
Tryouts mark the beginning of another exciting volleyball season, offering student-athletes the opportunity to showcase their skills, compete for roster spots and represent Branford High School throughout the fall season.
Players with questions about eligibility or required paperwork are encouraged to contact the school’s athletic department before Monday, July 27.
