Branford celebrates first new fire truck in over 40 years

Danny Federico reporter3.riverbendnews@gmail.com The Branford Volunteer Fire Department officially welcomed its first new fire truck in more than four decades during a push-in ceremony on Tuesday morning, Aug. 12, with town officials, state leaders and community members in attendance. The event began with a prayer from Pastor Dale Dansby. Mayor Ken Saunders then took to the podium, noting the last time Branford purchased a new fire truck was sometime in the 1980s.
