Brandon Garcia Tomas named 2026 HCHS Sunshine State Scholar

Tiffany Quintero Contributor Hamilton County High School is proud to announce that Brandon Garcia Tomas has been selected as its 2026 Sunshine State Scholar. Each of Florida’s school districts selects its top 11th-grade student in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM). Each scholar, along with their parents, will travel to Orlando in March for an extraordinary two-day program designed to bring together scholars from around the state, connect them with employers specializing in STEM fields, and create networking opportunities between the scholars and schools from Florida’s College and State University System.
